The first call John Purdue made for me was a cherry slate made from a piece of a cherry tree that was blown down on my favorite turkey ridge. I kept that piece of wood for over 30 years hoping to have a call made from it. John Purdue made me a call, and it was the best sounding call I have ever owned. He named it the "Cherry Bomb". After listening to that call, many of my friends have ordered calls from him.  All have been pleased.
